In several book volumes (The Adventures Of Two Little Ducklings), the main characters are of course two little ducklings. They go through various adventures, which will teach your children important and valuable lessons in life and make it easier for them to keep a positive attitude towards tomorrow.
In the first book "There Is No Place Like Home" when the two ducklings decide to go exploring in search of a little fish that has caught the older one's eye, they aren't afraid of getting lost. However, when they hear about the crocodile that lives nearby, they start to think about heading home.
This is great story for little children before their bedtime. It also includes wonderful images for them to enjoy.

These two spunky ducklings like adventure. They accidentally got “lost” last time so that one could meet the pretty new fish in the lake. They set out to do the same again. They are on the hunt for the pretty fish. As they travel, they are warned to stay away from the alligator because he will eat them alive!
It starts getting dark and the two ducklings realize they really are lost!
Then they see the rippling waters and the back of the alligator…headed right for them!
Fortunately, the alligator is nothing like how he’d been described. The other grown up animals around the lake tell these exaggerated stories about him to keep their babies safe, but they couldn’t be further from the truth.
The alligator knows the two little ducklings and helps them find their way home, and they are all in for a treat when they get there.
This is a beginning chapter book for young readers. It is a short text with illustrations and two very funny ducklings. It is obvious that they are siblings but also know where the line is and not to cross it. The dialogue was spot-on for smaller siblings.

The Adventures Of Two Little Ducklings ''There Is No Place Like Home'' book I edition by K K Children eBooks Reviews
May I say the five illustrations are exquisite. I just wish there were more of them and that they were larger.
I am assuming this story is for 1st-3rd graders.
As for the story, it made me uncomfortable. At first it was because the style of the dialogue between the two ducklings didn't seem to match a child's speech. On the surface the speech seemed like normal sibling bickering, yet it had a strange rhythm and the choice of phrasing was too old for this age group. An example.
<"Of course I remember, because it was the most exciting time of our lives," said the first one proudly.>
Then come the story points. They talk about one of the ducklings having a crush on a fish. The fact that ducks eat fish, made this icky.
The fact that they climbed on a crocodile's back so that he could take them home, just astounded me.
Finally, the "lesson" of the story as stated by one of the ducklings just didn't make sense to me.
<The best things are where we are, not in faraway places. We just have to learn to see them.">
I do NOT recommend this story.
A story is told of two little ducklings that lived in a far country that blooms with trees, lakes and the never ending sunshine. A country that knows no city or noise that comes with its traffic; a place called home. The two ducklings sneaked and swam away from their home one morning, away from their mother, deep into the waters. Away from the sight and protection of their mother, in search of some adventure as they looked for their old friend, little fish. They met a white and beautiful swan on their way who warned them of a scary crocodile that lived where they were headed. Afraid to admit what they felt about meeting a crocodile, the two little ducklings swam deeper into the waters until dusk, with their friend, the little fish, nowhere to be found. It is when they saw a large and dark shadow looming towards them when they realized they are lost because they did not know what direction would lead them back home. You definitely want to know what happened to the two little ducklings and whether they found their little friend or better ever got back home. Read on to find out more and enjoy the adventure with the two little ducklings.
I loved the book and so did my three year old daughter. It is interesting and teaches a child good lessons as well as virtues needed in life. It is a must-read for little ones.
This is a very sweet story with positive moral values to read to younger children as a bedtime story, my little guy loves "the little ducklings" book, as he calls it. The ducklings are cute and engaging and their adventures definitely appeal to my son. The illustrations are precious and beautifully done. I have been disappointed in the recent past when I've bought other children's books, examples the book had an illustrated cover and then text only or the kid's book featured an illustrated cover plus only a few illustrations inside. But this book features a lot of illustrations to keep a child's attention in visualizing the story as you read the story to them. The ducklings learn from their adventures and this translates into teaching children how to learn from their own experiences in life. No spoilers, you'll just have to buy the book! As a parent, I like when a book gives you a teachable moment while you're reading the story or after reading the story to discuss an important message. I noticed this is Book I in the series and can't wait to pick up Book II which was just e-published here on .
When my boys were little kids some of the best spent and most memorable moments we had together was the time for the bedtime stories. We would lie in bed, in calming and reassuring half-darkness of the reading light, and I would read the stories.
In any period of their life, there were 2-3 stories that were their favorite and that had a special calming effect for the time before the sleep and dreams.
I admit I liked those moments. I didn't only spent some special moments with my kids but also because I felt like an actor on a stage. Someone else (the writer) already did the hard part and written the story so I felt free to read it the way I want, emphasizing the parts I want, discussing with kids the story characters (answering their endless questions) sometimes even skipping some parts of the story and imagining other parts.
We had a great time, but to create it the most important thing was to find a good story.
The Adventures of Two Little Ducklings" is such a story. Two little ducklings leaving the home to an uncertain adventure only to return home safely at the end - might look as a fairly straightforward fable but this is a perfect tale with a message young kids need and understand. The best things are where we are, not in faraway places" - might sound obvious to you but your youngsters will not only remember the message but will ask you to read them a story again and again.
If you are in a search for a great bedtime story search no more, Two Little Ducklings" are a great choice.
